Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 2026-05-10
These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Little Learners Dayhome website (the “Site”). Please read them carefully. Your use of the Site means you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the Site.
Acceptance and scope
By visiting any page on this Site or by submitting the enrollment inquiry form, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. These Terms apply to all visitors, including parents and guardians considering enrollment, and anyone else who reads the Site.
Inquiries are not a contract for childcare
This Site is informational. Submitting the enrollment inquiry form is the start of a conversation, not a contract. It does not reserve a space for your child, guarantee placement, or create any childcare obligation on our part or financial obligation on yours.
Childcare is provided only after a separate written enrollment agreement is signed between the family and Little Learners Dayhome (through The Mangrove Tree Dayhome Agency). That enrollment agreement covers fees, hours, policies, expectations, and both parties' rights and obligations. These Terms govern the Site only; the enrollment agreement governs the childcare relationship.
Content accuracy
We work to keep the information on this Site current and accurate, but we make no promises that every detail is up to date at every moment. Subsidy amounts, hours, spaces available, the structure of Alberta's childcare affordability program, and licensing details are set by external parties (Alberta's Ministry of Education and Childcare and The Mangrove Tree Dayhome Agency) and can change without notice. Before relying on any specific figure or detail on the Site, please contact us to confirm.
Intellectual property
All content on this Site, including text, photographs, the Little Learners logo and illustrations, layout, and the underlying code, is owned by Little Learners Dayhome or used with permission. You may view and share links to the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute any content from the Site for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Limitation of liability
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”. We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the operation of the Site or the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the information it contains. To the fullest extent permitted by Alberta law, Little Learners Dayhome is not liable for any loss or damage of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or otherwise, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, or from reliance on any information presented on the Site, even if we have been advised that such damages might occur. Your sole and exclusive remedy if you are dissatisfied with the Site, or with any content on it, is to stop using it.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under Alberta law.
Third-party links
The Site may contain links to websites operated by third parties, such as The Mangrove Tree Dayhome Agency or Alberta government pages about childcare subsidy. We provide these links for convenience only. We do not control or endorse the content of third-party sites, and we are not responsible for their accuracy, security, or privacy practices. Please review the terms and privacy policies of any site you visit through a link from ours.
Your responsibilities
When you use the Site, you agree to:
- Be an adult parent or guardian of any child you include in the form, with authority to provide that child's information
- Provide accurate information when filling out the enrollment inquiry form
- Use the Site only for its intended purpose and not interfere with its operation
- Not submit content through the form that is fraudulent, abusive, or that infringes the rights of any other person
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Alberta. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Site will be heard exclusively by the courts located in Alberta, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed from these Terms if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions will continue in full force.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. That date is the effective date of the current version. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
