With over twenty years caring for young children and more than fifteen years as a classroom teacher, Sukhjit has built her career around helping little ones grow and excel. She earned four university degrees (Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, Master of Arts, and Master of Education), and holds current First Aid and CPR Level B certifications.
Her approach begins with listening first, attentive to each child's stage of physical, emotional, and social development. Meals and snacks are prepared with care, the home stays clean and welcoming, and every day blends play, reading, and quiet time in a safe environment. Sukhjit speaks English, Hindi, and Punjabi, so families across our Evanston community feel right at home.

What are your hours of operation?
Little Learners is open Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm. Contact Sukhjit if you have specific scheduling needs.
How does the government subsidy work?
Little Learners is licensed through The Mangrove Tree Dayhome Agency, making Alberta's childcare affordability funding available. Eligible families can pay as low as $325/month. Ask Sukhjit for help with the application.
What is included in the monthly rate?
Everything — all meals, snacks, activities, outdoor play, and learning materials. There are no hidden fees or extra charges.
How many children are in the care?
Little Learners is licensed for up to 6 children, ensuring every child receives the individual attention they deserve in a small, home-like environment.
Can I schedule a visit before enrolling?
Absolutely — and we encourage it! Contact Sukhjit to arrange a meet-and-greet at the dayhome so you and your child can see the space and ask any questions.
What is your sick child policy?
For the health of all children, sick children should stay home. Detailed policies on illness, holidays, and absences are shared at enrollment. Contact us for details.
